Join the Minnesota Driftless Hiking Trail at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center on Saturday, October 10, from 8–11 a.m. for our second Driftless Discovery Hike!

This month, prairie experts Cavan Mittag-McNaught of Prairie Moon Nursery and Jackson Ramsland of Jack Ramsland Home and Garden Services LLC will lead us through the Eagle Bluff prairie, sharing their knowledge of the native wildflowers and grasses that line the trail. Eagle Bluff Director Colleen Foehrenbacher will also join us to share more about the work that goes into keeping the prairie native, healthy, and free of invasive species.

This section of trail is one of the newest additions to the growing Minnesota Driftless Hiking Trail system—and this will be our first guided hike on the section! Come celebrate the growing trail system, learn more about the unique prairie landscape, and enjoy a beautiful fall morning on the trail.

Hikers will walk approximately 4.5 miles on moderately graded trail.

Spots are limited and registration is required. To register, email director@mndriftlesshikingtrail.org to request a spot. You may register yourself and others; if registering additional hikers, please include their names in your email.

Join the Minnesota Driftless Hiking Trail this fall for Driftless Discovery, a hike series. Each month, MDHT will be offering a guided environmental education hike at a location across the trail corridor, followed by a social for hikers to get to know one another, celebrate the progress on the trail, and share in the excitement about this project.

Spots are limited and registration will be required. More information about the November hike topic and guide will be shared soon.

We love to talk about the mission to build this trail and are happy to speak in person or virtually to groups large and small.
